
Muid Latif (born Februray 24, 1979) began his career as Malaysian Web Designer and Digital Artist who actively promotes the arts of South East Asia such as Batik and other elements in his digital artwork. Muid is pro-active supporter of Creative Commons and he is one of Borad Members of Creative Commons Malaysia. He had been contributing talks about IP and copyright awareness from schools to colleges to let people aware of their right and control over creative creations. As an ASEF (Asia-Europe Foundation) alumnus, Muid also had attended, presented and contribute his part for Malaysia's New Media Practice & Policy development at the Mini Summit on New Media Arts Policy & Practice July 2008 in conjuction of International Symposium of Electronic Arts (ISEA2008), Singapore and recently invited as a panel and presenter of Creative Commons awareness in National Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur in conjuction of ASEF Emerging Photographer's Forum 2009.
WHY IM LIKE HIM?
In digital designer, I'm think I very likes him because his the first founder in Malaysia who create a Digital Malaya Project and his the first Malay people who success in Digital Design. Not at all,he also one of people who also expert in Web Design if we can see his help creative for campaigns like Maxis Hotlink,Petronas's Petrosains,Toyota,Microsoft Singapore and many more.
We can see, he has get many award in many years in his job as digital designer,web design and many more likes:-
- Best Selection in the WebCuts 2006 held in Germany.
- Finalist for MSC MALAYSIA APICTA 2002 Best Student Project Awards.
- He is also among artist/ illustrator to contribute for Malaysian Book of Record for Longest Comic Bannner in Asia dated March 2008.
- The creative consultant for creative campaign of WCIT 2008 (World Congress of ICT).
